Week in Review: 08.31.2013

Happy weekend, everyone! I'm heading back to my hometown today to spend some time with my family for Labor Day. My sister and her boyfriend are driving up from San Diego, and my fiancé and I are driving down from the Bay Area, so it will be fun to all be together for the first time since Athens. (I'm not really sure if our hometown can live up to Athens, but my dad will be there, too! So it will be a fun little family reunion.) Here's what my week looked like:

1 / 2 / 3 / 4

5. Week in Review: 08.24.2013 (posted August 24)
4. Weekly Wishes #2 (posted August 26)
3. Saying goodbye to guilty (dis)pleasures. (posted August 30)
2. The Book Chat: Back to School (posted August 29)
1. Advice Needed: Stylish Walking Shoes for Europe (posted March 13)

*Note: My walking shoes post was almost surpassed this week. My Book Chat post was only seven page views behind. Let's see what happens this week!

Yet again, the top search terms leading to my blog all had to do with stylish walking shoes for Europe. So we're just going to skip this section this week. :)

>> Ha! This Tumblr is perfect for random, fun-fact-loving people like me. (That's one of my favorite entries above.) Thanks to Cup of Jo for posting about it earlier this week, as well as this awesome Tumblr for bookworms.

>> Could you imagine if Scarlett O'Hara had been named Pansy O'Hara instead? Check out this list of 17 famous fictional characters who were almost named something else. Also from Mental Floss: proof that film adaptations are (almost) never better than the books.

>> For any grammar nerds out there, this fun infographic shows the most grammatically accurate magazines. (Fun fact: Maxim and Playboy are two of the most accurate men's magazines! Hmm....)

How was your week? Have a wonderful three-day weekend (American readers)!
