Weekly Wishes #1

I may be getting my wisdom teeth extracted today and I may or may not spend the rest of the week crying through my gauze and watching Criminal Minds reruns while eating nothing but pudding (banana split and chocolate/vanilla swirl, to be precise), but that doesn't mean I can't have goals to accomplish this week!

1. Revamp my "About Me" page. My "About & Contact" page was horrid. I finally got rid of all the outdated information and just put up an "under construction" notice on Saturday. I can't figure out exactly how I want to format my new "About Me" page. I'd like to do some type of infographic with maps and a life timeline, but I can't quite envision it yet. At the very least, I want to get some accurate information and a current picture of me on there, and maybe the fancy page can come later.

2. Revamp my "Someday" page. I don't like to call it a "bucket list." I feel like that insinuates, "These are things I would really like to do, and hopefully I can do them before I die." Instead, I like to call it a "to-do" list, because I feel like that's saying, "I'm going to do these things." However, my current list is a hodgepodge of things that could span over a lifetime, and I think shrinking them down to a more measurable time goal would make them more realistic. I'm wavering between a "24 Before 24" list or "25 Before 25" list, but hopefully one will be up by the end of the week!

What are some goals you want to accomplish this week? My goals were blog-related because they are things I can do sitting down wallowing in pain, but yours can be about anything! :)

I hope that if you do have them taken out today that the procedure is quick and that you heal quickly.
I don't remember anything about having mine taken out because I took my pain meds...a LOT lol. So I guess my advice would be to take lots of pain meds...?
Good luck!!!

Ooh, good luck with your wisdom teeth. I ate KFC mashed potatoes when I had mine out years ago, haha. I really dislike my About page and want to redo it as well, so good luck with yours! Have a great week! :)

I love the way you say "to-do list" instead of "bucket list" - that's so great! This is the first post of yours I've read but already I'm looking forward to reading more - especially when you get your 24/5 before 24/5! Maybe it will give me some ideas, too :)
Good luck this week, and I hope you're not in pain for too long!

I like calling them "To Do" lists as well! Something about that just makes it seem so much more attainable!

I absolutely agree with tossing the phrase "Bucket List." There is nothing all that desirable that lives in a bucket. Ha-ha! I can't wait to read more about your "Someday soon, or maybe tomorrow" adventures. I hope your teeth feel better!

Hope your mouth isn't too bad! I looked like I had gotten into a fight for three weeks after but had minimal pain! Good luck with your wishes this week!!

Great goals! I hate my about me page right now and have been wanting to fix it up, too. I like the idea of having a "some-day" page. I also like your idea of calling it a to-do list because to me, saying bucket list sounds a little too depressing.

Good luck! And getting wisdom teeth out sucks a lot, but once it's done, it's done :)
