Is it really already time for the second Semi-Charmed Summer 2012 Book Challenge check-in? Yikes. That means it's time for the very first scoreboard! Things were kind of hectic last week with people leaving their scores on different posts, so hopefully I got everyone. Starting today, please only leave your weekly check-in score in a comment on the corresponding check-in post to avoid confusion. If you think you checked in last week, and I don't have you, please leave a comment for both weeks. If you didn't check in last week or just joined the challenge, feel free to include all books you've read since May 1 on this check-in. Thanks. :)

10 points: Read a memoir or narrative nonfiction book. — The Devil in the White City, Erik Larson (396 pages, not including sources/bibliography)
PREVIOUS POINTS: 20I also went to the library to pick my third book from the left on the fourth shelf from the top, and I got so lucky; it was The Kite Runner! I've been wanting to read this book for forever and just never got around to it. And I swear, it really was the first shelf I went to! I tried an aisle I had never been in before, and bam. I almost feel guilty for getting such a good book, but hey, I didn't make the rules. Oh wait....
TOTAL POINTS: 30
Just in case you didn't believe me: Here's proof! |
P.S. — Don't forget to check out last week's check-in post for some rule clarifications. Good luck!
