Please comment on this post in the following format to check in. Please do not forget page numbers! Remember all books must be at least 200 pages long unless otherwise specified. You may also link to your reviews or own check-in post if you wish, but that is not required; we operate on the honor code. However, I do ask that you include a simple rating next to each book in your check-in post (on a scale of 1 to 5 stars), per the request of past participants. Also, please note that categories involving multiple books (e.g. read two books with meals in the titles) do not earn any points until the entire category is completed. If your total above looks different than what you reported in December, that's probably why. :)
10 points: Read a book written by an author who has published at least 10 books. — Leaving Time, Jodi Picoult (author of 22 novels, 416 pages, 4 stars)
10 points: Read a book of short stories. — Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimm, Philip Pullman (406 pages, 4 stars)
20 points: Read a "bookish book." — The Thirteenth Tale, Diane Setterfield (406 pages, 5 stars)
25 points: Read a book with a song lyric in the title. — The Here and Now, Ann Brashares ("Here & Now" by Seether, 256 pages, 4 stars)
PREVIOUS POINTS: 35
TOTAL POINTS: 100
I'm currently out of town again to celebrate the New Year, but my reading goal for the weekend is to finally finish A Storm of Swords before starting any new challenge books! Next up on my docket is A Moveable Feast for my second "meal" book.

Please record your progress thus far by January 10 in order to be included in the next scoreboard, which will be posted with the next check-in on February 1. Good luck!

P.S. — Have you entered my giveaway yet? Check it out here for a chance to win $150!
