reading | This Book is Overdue!: How Librarians and Cybrarians Can Save Us All, by Marilyn Johnson. This is my "book from a genre I don't usually read" for my winter book challenge. Although I enjoy narrative nonfiction, I almost never read straight nonfiction, so this will be different for me. I also don't read as much narrative nonfiction as I would like; that's one of my goals for this year!
writing | a Prezi presentation, a library web page review and an essay on hate speech, all due before the end of the day tomorrow. (Yet I'm still writing this blog post ... because priorities. And procrastination.)
listening | to Birdy, Ed Sheeran and Mat Kearney nonstop on iTunes Radio.
thinking | about the fun trips we have planned this spring, including one to Georgia to see my brother graduate from college, another down south for a friend's wedding, and a weekend in wine country for my birthday.
watching | the third season of Game of Thrones. I was trying to watch the show as I finished the books, but I had to take a break last year when things started happening in the show that I hadn't read about yet. (Now I know the show just completely makes stuff up that never happens in the books, so I didn't really need to stop watching so early, but oh well.) I finished A Storm of Swords recently, so now I can watch the third and fourth seasons. (I think—please tell me if I shouldn't watch season 4 yet!)
smelling | delicious coffee smells at one of my favorite local coffee shops.
hoping | I can find another part-time job or volunteer position to supplement my library experience this summer.
wearing | a grandma sweater, jeans and flats: the perfect outfit to transition from church to the coffee shop to lounging on my couch for the rest of the afternoon. :)
loving | black nail polish! Seriously, I've never been much of a fingernail polish girl (I asked a friend once if nail polish was a new trend, and she said: "No, Megan, nail polish has always been cool. It's just a girly trend"), but painting my nails gives me something to do while watching online lectures, and I've been loving black lately.
drinking | lots of homemade margaritas this weekend as we enjoy Game of Thrones marathons.
wanting | the weather to even out to a nice temperature that will allow me to ride my bike to work without freezing or sweating.
needing | to save more money. I've already adjusted our budget for this year based on our 2015 salaries, but I would love to graduate with my master's debt-free, so we need to bulk up my tuition fund this year.
feeling | happy, content and relaxed, yet pleasantly productive.
clicking | all over Trivia Crack. Seriously, why did anyone ever introduce me to this?!
