A Drive on America's Most Scenic Highway

California Highway 1 on Semi-Charmed Kind of Life

My fiance's family was camping in Pismo Beach two weeks ago, so we drove down to meet them for the weekend. It's only about a three-hour drive from the Bay Area to Pismo if you use the major highways, but we decided to head over to the coast for a more scenic road trip.

It took us about five hours to drive this way, so we drove back on the major highways to save time, but it was a beautiful road trip to do once! We even drove right by Hearst Castle (again!).
