PREVIOUS POINTS: 145
TOTAL POINTS: 145

Please update me on your progress in a comment on this post. I usually don't write the scoreboard post until Saturday, so as long as you check in by Friday I should have your most up-to-date score on the board. If you forget to check in one week, no worries! Just catch yourself up on the next week's check-in. If you just joined the challenge, welcome! Please feel free to include all books you've read since May 1 that were at least 200 pages long. You can review the full list of rules here. Good luck!

  1. I have 95 points, so no change from last week, but I have several of the books now downloaded to my Kindle or iPhone to catch up on while I'm traveling. I hope to make a big dent in the list. I should probably delete some more apps so I'll have room for more WMA audiofiles. =)

I have been reading lots of non-challenge books because they came up on my account at the library after being wait-listed for weeks/months. I just couldn't ignore those because I don't want to have to wait twice as long if I don't get to them right now.

One recommendation I have for a book is "Between the Lines," which is co-authored by Jodi Picoult. I really found the concept interesting and it's a very quick read (young adult book). It has some nice fairy tale illustrations too.

    Have a great week!

  2. Finally back with an update! Hopefully I'll move up a bit - I've been holding down the bottom for a couple weeks now ;)

    Old Point Total:10

15 points - Read a book in one calendar day. I finally read Bossypants, which was exactly as good as everyone says it is. I almost felt bad reading it in the middle of the night because I kept giggling and thought I could wake people up!

15 points - Read a book you've always wanted to read but have never gotten around to. I read Summer in the City by Candace Bushnell, the SATC author. I read The Carrie Diaries last year and have been meaning to get my hands on the sequel since I heard it was in the works (so I guess ALWAYS is a bit of a stretch, but still!). I loved reading about how Carrie met the rest of the gang, and even though I read it at home, I think it would've been the perfect thing to throw in a beach bag for one of those lazy summer days.

    New point total: 40 (woohoo!)
