Here's what I read this week:
25 points: Read a book about which you’ve heard bad things. — Fifty Shades Darker, E.L. James (301 pages)

PREVIOUS POINTS: 120
TOTAL POINTS: 145
I picked Fifty Shades Darker because I didn't like the first one and my mom said the second one was even worse. I actually liked the second one a little better, but I still wouldn't say I liked it.

Please update me on your progress in a comment on this post. I usually don't write the scoreboard post until Saturday, so as long as you check in by Friday I should have your most up-to-date score on the board. If you forget to check in one week, no worries! Just catch yourself up on the next week's check-in. If you just joined the challenge, welcome! Please feel free to include all books you've read since May 1 that were at least 200 pages long. You can review the full list of rules here. Good luck!

  1. I really wish that I could get in on this!! With work being so busy, I don't know if I'll be able to really dive into reading. I'm reading a book now but it doesn't fall under any of the categories :(

ACTUALLY, I just realized that I did finish a book that counts!!! YAYYY!!! (At least I think it counts...)

10: Read a memoir or narrative nonfiction book- "Bright Lights, Big Ass" by Jen Lancaster

  2. Finished "Shoesless Joe" for the book/movie of your birth year category. The book was okay... I think I liked the movie better, but it's also been 5 years since I saw it. Started "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell" for the books you've heard bad things about category. Let me just say that this book is AWFUL, and I'm hoping I finish it because I keep wanting to stop haha.
