About the Blog

I was born in the South, where I must have been bottle-fed on my grandmother’s sweet tea because my tolerance for sugar in my beverages is positively unhealthy. After a short stint living on a dairy farm in Pennsylvania, I spent the majority of my childhood in California before heading off to the best journalism school in the country in Missouri. I spent five months after graduation living in New Mexico working for a national adventure-travel magazine, then 10 months traveling the country as a leadership consultant for my sorority before finally settling down with my fiancé in the Bay Area of California, where I now blog about travel, books and other things that make me happy.
