When do we get to play next??
Many of you have asked when I plan to host my next challenge (thanks for the excitement, by the way; I love it!). Although I had planned on hosting continuous seasonal challenges on this blog (hence the first-ever autumn challenge that just finished), doing two challenges in a row proved to be too much. I found myself feeling guilty when I read a book that didn't count toward any of the challenges I had joined, and that is not why I started hosting challenges.
I hosted my first challenge as a fun way to encourage readers to get outside their comfort zone and try a book or two that they never would have read before, and a lot of participants have given me feedback that makes me believe my idea worked! So when I found myself limiting my book choices for the sake of challenges, I knew it was time to step back. Instead, I'll be hosting only two challenges per year: a summer challenge and a winter challenge. I will try to time them to fall over holidays and school breaks when people tend to read for pleasure more. So the only thing I need to know is: Would you prefer the challenges to last three months or four months? Please let me know in the poll below before the end of the month!
Thanks again to everyone who participated, and I hope to see you back this summer for the next challenge! New faces are always welcome, too, of course! :)
