1. If you could write a book, what would it be about?
Definitely historical fiction. In fact, this has been a goal of mine for quite some time; I just can't seem to decide which historical event to write about! Too bad I didn't do better with my reading resolutions this year...
2. If you had to read one book or trilogy for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I realize this series is longer than a trilogy, but: Harry Potter. Enough said!
3. Who is your current favorite book character and why?
At this moment: Four. This answer may be influenced by the fact that I recently saw the Divergent movie trailer for the first time, and can I just say yum?? ;)

4. Is there a book you read every year during the holiday season? If so, what is it and why?
Nope. I'm not really a re-reader of books. My mom did have a beautiful hardcover edition of A Christmas Carol that we would display on the piano every Christmas, and sometimes we would read aloud from it at night, but we didn't read the entire book every year.
5. Do you have any books on your Christmas list? Name a few.
Actually, I don't! Now that I have a stable place to live and a library card, I don't really need to own any books. Like I mentioned above, I don't typically re-read books, so there's really no reason for me to keep them when I'm done. The only books I've read and kept are the Harry Potter books, all my Jodi Picoult novels and select other books that are special to me (e.g. Les Miserables, The Time Traveler's Wife and Peony in Love). Otherwise, I like to donate my finished books to friends who would enjoy them or local libraries.
6. What is a book you read and loved that you didn't expect to?
Hmm, this is a great question! I was very pleasantly surprised by Ender's Game last year. I'm not usually into science fiction, especially not stories about boys fighting aliens, but this book was AMAZING. Just read my Goodreads review (see previous link) for my full review.
