The Top 10 Books on my Spring TBR List

Anyone who reads my blog knows that I love Jessica's weekly Book Chat link-up over at Sweet Green Tangerine, and last week she introduced me to yet another book link-up. Today, I'm participating in my first Top Ten Tuesday link-up, hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. The topic? The top ten books I want to read this spring. I went through the 292 books on my to-read list on Goodreads and picked ten books to move to the top of my spring list. They are in no particular order; some are on here simply because I already have copies and haven't read them, others because I've read rave reviews from my fellow bloggers, and others because I've had good experiences with the authors:

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Jonathan Safran Foer | The Night Circus, Erin Morgenstern | The Shadow of the Wind, Carlos Ruiz Zafon | The Poisonwood Bible, Barbara Kingsolver | Memoirs of a Geisha, Arthur Goldin | The Fault in Our Stars, John Green | The Lost Symbol, Dan Brown | The White Queen, Philippa Gregory | The Paris Wife, Paula McLain | Skeletons at the Feast, Chris Bohjalian

There is also one book notably absent from this list: The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult. That's only because I'm waiting for the paperback version to be released so I can buy it and add it to my matching collection. :)

New follower! The Fault in Our Stars is a must! Really good one! I've heard great things about The Night Circus, but the description just doesn't really appeal to me. Great list though!

Check out my TTT.

I have been waiting for The Fault in Our Stars to arrive from the library but looks like it won't happen before my move to New Mexico! I did just check out Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close from the library for my Kindle. Will have to look at some of these others as a 17 hour drive leaves lots of time for reading!

Just bought The Paris Wife! My "to read" list is miles long at this point - I may have taken a break from reading for pleasure, but I haven't stopped buying books ;)

Now I just added 4 books to my already long list of must reads. Memoirs was just ok. I would have thought it would be better but nope.

The Poisonwood Bible is also on my list.
I loved the Paris Wife. Memoirs of a Geisha is SO much better than the movie and The Lost Symbol is pretty good.

I am currently reading The Night Circus and I think it's really good. It's a quick read despite having over 350 pages and I was caught up really quick in the story.
I have read The Shadow of the Wind a few years ago and I loved it. The whole universe and the books! Great story that I think I will read again some time.
I have also read Memoirs of a Geisha and although it is a rather long book (a slower read) it is very good and worth reading through. I thought some parts were long but in the end, I was happy I read it and that's what counts!

Ahhh, I'm so jealous of anybody who still gets to read the Fault in our Stars for the first time! Enjoy!

Ok Megan, I blame you for the HUGE increase in my book reading. I was struggling this year to even get a solid start on my 100 books. Then you posted all these books. DESPITE the fact that I own Extremely close and havent read it yet, I added the interesting books from your list to my hold list at the library. In less than 24hrs of actually read time, I have finished The Night Circus. BRILLIANT is the best way to put that. I couldnt put the book down. I am now starting to read The Shadow of the Wind. Next up after that The Poisonwood Bible...All totalled up will end up being over 1000 pages read in a couple days flat. :)

I really loved Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, and anything by John Green is like gold to me. Fault in Our Stars is by far his best novel, but I love them all. Great list!
