Cityscape on Camera: Vienna, Austria

Over winter break, I had the pleasure of spending a few days in Vienna, Austria, and I wanted to share some photos with y'all. If you follow me on Instagram, you've already seen these first four photos, but there were plenty more waiting on my iPhone to be uploaded. :)

Clockwise from top left: The Christmas market near our hotel; tiny mocha drinks; the gorgeous interior of St. Stephen's Cathedral; and Hofburg Palace.
Vienna City Hall, the backdrop for the Christmas market.

Entering Hofburg Palace, the winter palace of the Hapsburg royal family.
A courtyard inside Hofburg Palace.
Another view of Hofburg.
I thought these horse earmuffs were adorable. But then I found out they were really just to quiet the street noise. Still cute, though.
This statue at St. Michael's Cathedral, right across from Hofburg, shows St. Michael damning Lucifer.
Another gorgeous photograph of St. Stephen's interior.
We ate like this all week. Not complaining. Vienna has a great cafe culture, and I loved ducking into little corner cafes for a warm drink or potato cake several times per day.
The Opera House, where we saw an honestly horrible opera called "The Sleepwalker." The singing and staging was beautiful, but none of us were into the storyline.
And, like any true Alpha Delta Pi sister, I always have to stop to take a picture with Alphie. :)

Have you been to Austria? What did you think?
