I didn't get a single book for Christmas this year. Amazing, right? Instead, my siblings and I all got each other cute little trinkets (like the above mug!) from various Christmas markets during our European holiday, and our mother graciously paid for us to take this European holiday. However, that doesn't mean I didn't buy myself a few Christmas presents on my Kindle. :) Here are my three most recent purchases:
The Handmaid's Tale, Margaret Atwood
This was one of the Kindle Daily Deals yesterday. Yay! I actually had this book on my preliminary list for my summer book challenge, but I never got around to reading it. Naturally, I was super stoked to buy it for $1.99 yesterday!
Gone Girl, Gillian Flynn
I'm about 93 percent of the way through this book right now, and all I can say is Mind. Blown. If you haven't bought this book yet, do it now.
The Bloodletter's Daughter, Linda Lafferty
This was a random Kindle Daily Deal purchase to satisfy one of the categories for my winter book challenge, and boy was it a good pick! I highly recommend this novel to any other fans of historical fiction.
What did you get (or get yourself) for Christmas this year? Any good reads I should add to my Kindle wish list? Happy holidays!

I LOVE the Handmaid's Tale! I read it for my AP Language class in 11th grade-- it was really interesting!

Yay, I read Gone Girl recently. I agree, definitely mind-blowing! :) Have you read Gillian Flynn's other books? They're pretty good, too. :)
And yay for buying books for ourselves for Christmas, I did the same thing! :)
