Please update me on your progress in a comment on this post. I usually don't write the scoreboard post until Saturday, so as long as you check in by Friday I should have your most up-to-date score on the board. If you forget to check in one week, no worries! Just catch yourself up on the next week's check-in. If you just joined the challenge, welcome! Please feel free to include all books you've read since May 1 that were at least 200 pages long. You can review the full list of rules here. Good luck!
Finished "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell." Thank God. That book was awful. 25 points for a book I've heard bad things about. (And I can confirm them!)
ReplyDeleteThis week I'm starting "Uglies" with a hope to finish either the trilogy or antonyms categories. The next book is called "Pretties," followed by "Extras."

Oh :( Don't you hate having to trudge through something you don't enjoy? Funnily enough, the book that I heard bad things about wound up being one of my favorites and it's one of my hubby's worst of all time! LOL
DeleteOne book to go!
ReplyDelete25- Salem’s Lot (A book written the year you were born and became a movie)
10 – A clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess (A book everyone was supposed to read in High School)

I finally finished The Devil Wears Prada, a book I've always wanted to read.

I'm slacking hardcore. I'm going to blame work on this one.
I read The Fire Gospel this week for my random book off the library shelf. Working on Friday Night Lights for next week.

I had to wait until the library got in a copy of 50 Shades Freed, but I finally did! I just started reading it, so sadly I still don't have any points. Hopefully by next Sunday I'll have some points from this trilogy category.
ReplyDeleteThis week I read "Dead is So Last Year" by Marlene Perez (208 pages) in one calendar day, and "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?" by Mindy Kaling (219 pages) for my memoir.

no change, 30 points and 2/3 through my trilogy
ReplyDeleteI keep forgetting to update my progress! I completed The Heretic Queen by Michelle Moran, which is set in Egypt. Technically Ancient Egypt, which is impossible to visit, but I would like to go check out all that history, so I think it counts. Am working on my trilogy (The Graceling Trilogy) so no new points there yet. Have read a lot of books that would count if I hadn't already read them. Ah well.

Some actually progress this week! I read The Little Lady Agency by Hester Browne for the book that I have always wanted to read and A Surrey State of Affairs by Ceri Radford that takes place in England for the book that takes place somewhere that I want to visit.

Last week I read one book in a calendar day. The day was even shorter than usual, as I was traveling backwards through timezones so I only had 23 hours, but it did it and read "Blessed are the Cheesemakers" by Sarah-Kate Lynch (320 pages). It's a quirky book where cows are milked to the sound of The Sound of Music, the cheesemaker can read minds, and the cheese has its own character! ;-)
ReplyDeleteIn other news, I'm 2/3 into the trilogy, so I hope I'll finish it next week.
