First, there is something specific that I am loving this week. Last Thursday, I found out I had been chosen as a 2012-2013 Leadership Consultant for Alpha Delta Pi sorority, and on Monday I got to tell everyone! A Leadership Consultant (or "LC," as we more often call them) is a first-year alumna of Alpha Delta Pi who travels around the country helping collegiate chapters and colonies with officer trainings, programming, recruitment, rituals and the like. I'm super excited about this job because it combines two of my favorite things—leadership development and travel—with, of course, ample opportunities for social media! I hope you'll follow along with my travels on this blog when I start the job this summer!
I am also loving the overwhelming amount of support I received from my friends and family on Monday. Between my birthday and the public announcement of my new job, my phone literally died at work from all the texts, calls, Tweets and Facebook posts/mentions I was getting. So thank you, thank you!
And finally, on to the pins! After news like that, how could I share anything except pins from my very own Alpha Delta Pi board (and the official Alpha Delta Pi Pinterest account, of course)? Enjoy!
Above: Alpha Delta Pi's coat of arms | our flower: the woodland violet | our mascot: Alphie the lion | my old chapter house at the University of Missouri | our symbol: the diamond | the diamond-shaped badge of Alpha Delta Pi | everything ADPi stands for (arranged in the design of our Alphie logo, of course) | Alpha Delta Pi sisters often take pictures making diamonds with their fingers
Visiting from How Pinteresting----love that you combined the two link ups! Great idea! :)

A girl in my cohort here at A&M consulted for ADPi for two years before working for a few years and now being in grad school. She met her partner while consulting haha
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I was going to ask what her name is, but if she's been out for a few years I probably don't know her. I've actually been considered an SA degree, so this should help me decide! :)
DeleteLove combining the two link ups. Your sorority looks like a blast - I love being a Kappa Delta. I have been thinking of reading 11/22/63 and was happy to see your review! My Pinteresting addition this week is for my fellow bibliophiles. :o)
