Autumn 2013 Book Challenge: Month 1

Photo via @mcstroup on Instagram
Can you believe the first month of the Semi-Charmed Autumn 2013 Book Challenge is already over? I feel like it went by so fast! For those of you who have been playing along, here's your first chance to check in and show me what you've read so far. And if you are intrigued and still want to join, it's not too late! Click the link above to read the full rules, and feel free to look back to October 1 and count any qualifying books you've read since then.

Please comment on this post in the following format to check in. Please do not forget page numbers! Remember all books must be at least 200 pages long unless otherwise specified.
5 points: Read a book that does not have "the," "a" or "an" in the title. — Cinder, Marissa Meyer (387 pages)
15: Read an epistolary novel. The Boy Next Door, Meg Cabot (379 pages)
PREVIOUS POINTS: 0
TOTAL POINTS: 20
I also read The Night Circus, but I don't think I can make that fit anywhere—unless y'all think "night" is good enough for the spooky category! Eh, eh? ;)

Please record your progress thus far by November 10 in order to be included in the first scoreboard, which will be posted with the next check-in on December 1. Good luck!

P.S. — If you're still waiting for that post I promised to write about fiction/nonfiction pairs for the last category, it's coming! I'll be posting it next Thursday over at Doing it the Open Way for her "Non Fic November" series. Be sure to check it out on November 7! And if you have any suggestions for pairs, please let me know! The more ideas, the merrier.
